Light and Colour
One of the most difficult aspects of choosing
a paint colour is knowing how it will behave in different lights.
Check it
out in natural light at different times of the day too, and compare
the effect of weak morning rays with that of warm evening sun, or
cloudy days.
See how the colour changes in different types of artificial light.
The good news is that the interplay between light and colour can be
used to the decorator's advantage, compensating for less-than-perfect
conditions.
Choose colours
that appear to alter and improve your existing light system, or
the natural light that you have no control over. For example, if you're faced
with decorating a cold, dingy, north facing room, choose warm colours
and you'll improve the light quality in an instant. |
